Virginia Beach

With winter storm Pax bringing snow and ice to much of the south we decided to get a hotel room in Virginia Beach for the day. This would give Adam a chance to run around and swim in the pool. And give us a chance to wash some clothes, fill our water bottles and do some dishes.

It was very cold while we were there, only 33°! And it snowed a bit.

Our day was very relaxing, we went for a walk and hung out in an arcade for a little bit. Then, we went for a swim. Adam loved the pool! He was jumping off the side into the water, and he made a couple friends.

Gregg made pizza in the RV and we enjoyed it in the room while watching the olympics and local news to track the storm. We learned that graupel is a term used to describe wet snow! You would think we would use specific terms for wet and dry snow in Maine with all the snow we have.

  1. Hey you guys! I love your blog, and look forward to hearing about your adventure in this venue.

Whitney, you're a wonderful writer. It's a pleasure to read your daily entries, and to see the pics that accompany them.

Little Adam looks like a tour guide in the VA beach shot--he's so relaxed and 'at home' in his environs. :-)
