Emerald Isle and Elmwood

We spent the morning driving down Emerald Isle and found a nice little beach at Fort Macon State Park. It was still a little cold, about 50 but really windy so it felt colder.

After that we drove to Francis Marion National Forest about and hour north of Charelston. There we found another free campsite called Elmwood, which is usually a hunting campground for deer and turkey season. Since they are not in season we had the place to ourselves.

    1. The campground was creepy! But in a cool way, reminded us of the walking dead. :)
