Savannah, GA

We spent the night last night curbside, next to the ocean in Charelston. I was a little afraid that we would get the dreaded 3 am knock on the door by a police officer but all was good. We awoke early and headed to Folley Beach to watch the sun rise, it was beautiful!
We ran out of propane and it being a Sunday in South Carolina nothing was open until about noonish, so we went to Waffle House for breakfast :). After breakfast we started on our way to Savannah.
We got to savannah around 3, bought a 48 hr parking pass for just $12, and headed into town. We took the DOT shuttle, which is free public transportation (amazing), to the Forsyth Park. This park was so beautiful with a fountain, two playgrounds, Spanish moss covered trees, and lots of open grassy areas. We sat an watched a drum circle for a bit while adam danced and charmed everyone around him. I can't wait to get out tomorrow and explore more.
Oh ya, it was 65 and sunny today!! Felt a little hot to me, haha. This coming week we will see 80°!

  1. HI, we are enjoying following your travels and LOVE the pictures! We have a map set up with string and star stickers for each leg of your trip. The kids are excited that eventually the line will lead to us!
    Cheers! Michelle
