We spent about 4 or 5 days in LA, most of it we spent in a little part of town called Culver City. We really liked LA, it's a huge city that has a lot to offer. Including, Amazing weather, the ocean, mountains, and beautiful parks.
I feel like most of our time here we spent doing everyday chores which in an RV take more time and energy. We did our laundry at a local laundry mat, found a place to fill water tanks and dump, and we made an improvement to the RV. We had been wanting to add a cargo carrier to the back of the Dolphin to carry our bikes and a generator. A few days before the we discovered that the spare time that we had our bikes attached to originally was becoming loose and pulling the bolt amd washer out of the back of the RV. So, we needed a replacement quickly but we had to hitch to attach a cargo carrier. After examining a couple other RVs like ours and talking to some professionals we decided the best thing to do would be to have our old rusty bumper taker off and have a couple 2 ft beams extended out beyond the back of the RV. Then, gregg built our own cargo carrier out of wood. It looks great and is exactly what we needed.
Our last day in LA we drove down Sunset BLVD and Hollywood blvd just to check it out. The houses on sunset blvd were huge and beautiful and hollywood blvd was pretty busy and hectic so we decided not to stop but I'm glad we were able to experience it.

Venice Beach
Our second day in Los Angeles we decided to spend the day at Venice Beach. It was a beautiful sunny day, a perfect day for walking around the beach. Gregg bought a skate board and adam fell in love with it! He cried every time gregg skated away on it. He pushed it around mostly, but he tried to climb up on it one time. Once the skateboard moved he decided it wasn't a good idea and continued to push it around.
Venice Beach has so much to see and do from a huge beautiful beach, a skate park, muscle beach, a long bike path, and tons of little shops. Everything was very reasonable priced, I was pleasantly surprised considering everything in CA is expensive!!
I think we would all like to come back here some day.

San Onofre Surf Beach- Old Man
I have to say there is nothing cooler then having your house parked on the beach for the day. We spent all day at this amazing, relaxed beach with kids everywhere. Gregg was able to do a bunch of surfing. Adam played with other kids and had fun in the sand. I got to walk the beach and relax in the sun, all was good. We even got to take a nap in our own beds and I roasted a chicken for dinner. Who else can say they roasted a chicken with sweet potatoes and a salad for dinner on the beach? Haha. We stayed for sunset then left and headed into LA and spent the night at Camping World.

Oceanside Harbor
Today we said goodbye to our new friend Juan and headed north onto new adventures. We headed to Oceanside Harbor, we camped there on the beach for just $28 a night. They had a very big beach and playground for Adam. Gregg was able to surf while Adam and I played in the sand. We made a little swimming pool for Adam to play in with his toys, he loved it! Later in the day we sat out by the harbor and watched the sea lions and pelicans swim/fly around and feed. It was so cool hearing the sea lions bark, even into the night. The harbor was full of other RVers, we saw another Dolphin that looked like it was the same year as ours! We had a nice time here, even got to meet a few nice people.
San Diego, CA
San Diego and it's surrounding cities are the cleanest cities I have ever seen. Everything it so manicured and beautiful, even their public transportation is meticulous. We took the trolley into the city from Old Town and explored Gas Lantern Quarter where they have tons of restaurants and little shops. Then we took the bus over to Coronado Island, another very manicured, beautiful town. We walked around the famous Hotel Del Coronado then headed back to Old Town. Adam really liked riding on the trolley, he has been very excited about trains lately.

Del Mar, CA
We made it to California!! Everything is so green and lush! Lots of flowers and mountains, It's so pretty. We were all excited to see the ocean again and go swimming so we headed for Del Mar, just north of San Diego. Gregg was finally able to surf, he actually surfed twice in one day. Adam spent lots of time playing in the water and throwing rocks. We found a nice place to stay at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. It's walking distance to the beach so we will have a couple very lazy beach days!!

Last day in Tucson
In the morning we went to Tucson's Cyclovia, this is when they close down 5 miles of major roadways so that people can walk, bike or run through the streets leisurely without cars. What an awesome idea! Tuscon started this five years ago to try to get people to use their bikes more. They thought if they got people used to riding on the streets then they would have nothing to fear. It has worked! Tucson is a very friendly bike city with huge bike lanes and places to chain your bike everywhere. There were so many people at the event, we all had a blast. We biked the whole 5 miles, Adam ended up walking/running part of it. We met lots of people and enjoyed seeing the city on a bike.
Next, went to saguaro national park. We went to the west park so it was much smaller but very beautiful. We did the drive thru loop then headed towards California.
I was sad to leave Tuscon, this place will hold a special place in my heart. I will visit again, hopefully soon.

Tuscon, AZ
We have been I'm Tucson now for a few days. Our first day here we treated ourselves to a hotel room. After living in the RV for two months it's amazing how luxurious a small hotel room with a tv feels!! We watched tv and relaxed for the day and it felt great! Adam enjoyed running around the hotel room putting his toys in random drawers and the tub.
The second day we explored downtown and local music stores. I love the 50s look of Tuscon, and the simple architecture. Dow town tuscon consists of a bunch of local businesses and only a few large buildings, looks even smaller then portland downtown. I love cities that do not have a bunch of huge skyscrapers, it really makes you feel like they promote their small businesses and have a good economy. We visited a few parks in town like Reid park which is huge! We met a few people in the park, everyone was very nice.
Today, first thing we cut Adams hair! We gave him his first buzz cut. It was time, his hair is so thick anx was getting long. I love it, he looks so cute! ! After, we went to a small festival called the Halliballu. They had live music, amd lots of kid things. Adam loved the animals and drawing on the chalk board. There was a great vibe at this festival, everyone was really chill and the kids were all having a great time. I felt really relaxed here. Later we found out the children's museum was having a free admission day so we checked it out. Adam loved the trains!!
We headed back to our little spot that is located just 25 mins outside of Tuscon. It's on BLM land so it's free!
